Hi guys, my name’s Emma AKA Savage Ink.
Savage came as a nickname from my friend years ago with me having no filter. What you see is what you get. I’ve been around the tattoo industry for over a decade now, but on the other side of tattooing – I was a tattoo model. I’ve run several booths at tattoo expos all over Australia for numerous studios and independent artists.
I studied art when I was younger and ever since I was a child I knew I wanted to be covered in tattoos. I remember as a child drawing on everything I could find and as a young adult drawing on all my furniture with permanent markers.
I never imagined I would one day be living my dream job of becoming a tattoo artist. I know the industry like the back of my hand so the final piece of the puzzle was to become an artist myself. I love how tattoo can give people a way to express themselves or even be healing. Whether it be to cover up scars, a memorial piece, or something to represent overcoming a struggle in their lives. I love that I get to be a part of someone’s journey, whatever it may be.
I cannot wait to see where my own tattoo artist journey takes me and I feel so privileged to be doing it at Arcane Tattoo Studio.
