My name is Brayden King, I’m a Kalgoorlie kid who’s moved here to Perth to pursue my path in the tattooing industry.
I have always been an art kid since I could figure out how to use tracing paper and a lined book; drawing whatever I thought was cool, from dragons to anime art, in my late teens. Obviously living in Kalgoorlie with nothing else to do, this evolved into an early passion for tattoo, even being encouraged by family members. After a long time working towards my move to Perth, I’m excited to now have my shot here at Arcane Tattoo.
I have a passion for drawing in detail, so surrealism and a touch of realism is my go-to style. I enjoy being able to create something interesting and unique and take inspiration from some of my current favourite artists, such as Carlos Torres and Alexander Resifar. The way it all looks so connected yet you have to take a moment to enjoy the piece is what I enjoy the most.
Being an anime and manga enjoyer, I also love doing anything anime related; the black work in manga panels is always such a fun style to emulate in my own works. I also enjoy traditional and non-traditional Japanese artworks, and like incorporating these elements into my own tattoo art style.
Outside of tattooing life I’m a self-proclaimed dork, enjoying DND, 40k lore, video games such as Pokemon, Zelda, The Witcher, etc., and most pop culture media including movies, TV, and comics.
In short, I’m ready to craft and draw something unique and weird, or just anime and adventurous.
